RESPONSIBILITES:
The purpose of the Social Work Program Manager is to provide leadership and management to Supervisors in the designated program areas (Adult Protective Services (APS), Guardianship, Crisis Services program, Centralized Intake, Group Home Compliance and a grant-funded HOPWA program). Incumbant will recommend/revise/develop policies and procedures that detail the practices of the division, assist in developing and submitting reports to agency senior management that identify individual/unit/program performance trends. Incumbant will make recommendations for correction of declining performance, facilitate supervisory team meetings. Conduct strength-based individual supervision/conferences every month with each supervisor to discuss and document behavior and performance expectations of the supervisor, Assess the quality and effectiveness of the program are and address employee/client concerns in designated program areas, Incumbant will be working closely with Community partners within the Aging and Adult population making informed decisions using data metrics. The Program Manager would also serve as the designated point of contact in the absence of the Assistant Director.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to plan and develop plans to accomplish work operations and objectives
- Organizational Skills – time management, prioritizing projects and problems
- Skill in supervising, training, and orienting lower-level social workers, students, interns, or other staff.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively
- Knowledge of the HOPWA and Ryan White programs and policies
- Knowledge of Adult Protective Services, Guardianship, Group Home Montioring, HOPWA policies
- Knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices and their application to individual casework, group work, and community problems.
- Considerable knowledge of methods and principles of casework supervision and training.
- Considerable knowledge of behavioral and socioeconomic problems and their treatment and governmental and private organizations and community resources.
- Considerable knowledge of the laws, regulations and policies which govern social work programs.
- Proficiency in Technology – Microsoft Office 365, HMIS, Data systems/metrics
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree from an accredited school of social work and three years of social work or counseling experience, two of which was in a supervisory capacity; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited school of social work and four years of social work or counseling experience, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; or a master's degree in a counseling field and four years of social work or counseling experience, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; or a four-year degree in a human services field or related curriculum including at least 15 semester hours in courses related to social work or counseling and five years of social work or counseling experience, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; or graduation from a four-year college or university and six years of experience in rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling, or a related human services field providing experience in techniques of casework, group work, or community organization, two of which were in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
