GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Performs responsible work in rendering emergency and non-emergency medical care and life-saving measures to critically ill or injured persons of all ages on basic and advanced life support levels.

Requires successful completion of the North Carolina State Emergency Medical Services training program or an equivalent training program.

Employment is contingent on passing an assessment center, physical agility test, pre-employment drug screen, skills validation program, clinical and operational clearance during the year-long probationary period.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and successful completion of the North Carolina State Emergency Medical Services Paramedic certification program or equivalent training program.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

Must have a valid NC driver's license with a three year acceptable driving record.

We are hiring for Academy 35 which begins in June 12, 2023. The Assessment centers are March and April 2023.
