GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Provide customer service support at the Adult and Children’s desks at the Stanford L. Warren Branch Library. Check materials in and out, answer questions and/or route patron inquiries, register customers for library cards and generate various reports using library’s software programs. Physical strength to push fully loaded book carts and lift moderate weights. Although position is based at the Stanford L. Warren Branch Library, may be asked to work at other locations. Must be available to work nights and weekends.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledges, skills and abilities gaines through ar least one year of office assistant/secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Currently enrolled in Library School.
