GENERAL DESCRIPTION

 

The working title for this position is the Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Training Coordinator. Responsibilities include: To assist in the recruitment of practitioners for Triple P training, guiding practitioners or agencies to match training, families’ needs, and practitioner’s scope of work for best fit; to communicate with practitioners/agencies/organizations requirements for Triple P training (e.g., number of days, accreditation procedures, etc.) and implementation.

 

The Triple P Training Coordinator will strengthen the Triple P initiative and support activities for families of children ages 0-17 in Durham, Alamance, Chatham, Rockingham, Guilford, Person, Caswell, and Orange counties.

 

This is a 12-month, full-time provisional position.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of public health and health promotion activities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of systems-level change.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in community partnerships with agency staff, community organizations, and the public.
  • Strong organizational skills and system coordination experience preferred.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

A Master’s degree in public or human services (social work, public health, health education, and behavioral sciences); preferably, with coursework in human services planning and evaluation and two years of relevant experience in human services program planning, administration, or evaluation; or a Bachelors degree and three to five years of administrative or consultative background in a human service program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
